The team are seeking a Lead SDET within the highly collaborative development and product function, to lead the designing and execution of the company’s QA strategy across all teams. You’ll be working closely with engineers and using JavaScript based automation and testing tools.

Requirements

• At least 6 years QA experience (including 1 year as a lead) for web apps and APIs
• Proficient writing tests in JavaScript or Typescript (Node.js, React)
• Experience implementing automation testing framework such as Cypress or protractor
• Fluent in defining and implementing test plans and test strategies
• Strong experience with test automation and automated test case execution
• CI/CD delivery in a team. With an understanding of ‘Shift Left’ mentality to testing
• Familiarity with QA design patterns and anti-patterns
• Comfortable working closely with developers
• A solid understanding of different testing levels & types and when best to use them
• Agile
• Database experience (e.g Postgres)
• Understanding of common architecture patterns (client-server, microservices)
• Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, Charles Proxy)

Role

• Responsible for developing and evolving the company’s testing strategy (automation and manual)
• Scope to implement your ideas and tooling suggestions to move the business to automation first
• Carry on our journey to CI/CD, fully automated releases and world class software
• Ensuring high quality by working with the wider development and product teams
• Hands-on writing testing frameworks and various levels of automated tests, both functional and non-functional based on the testing strategy you define
• Coaching and leading the tech teams from a quality perspective
